Week 8
Sunday 23 Mar 2025
A typical Sunday, as if the witness to God at MCF Ndalani could ever be discribed as typical. It was cocolastic. We experienced opening hymns and prayers, then greetings, readings in english and swahili. Then there were several choirs singing along with the MCF Band of Dreamers, all of which have been presented in previous postings.
An USA team from Utah, Salt Lake City arrived yesterday and enjoyed a visit today. Here Dr. Mulli and Mother Esther are introducing them and welcoming them to MCF in front of the Chapel congregation.
I enjoyed a lengthy leisurely lunch, chatting up several of the guests. The hosts/tour organizers I had met last year.
After lunch I went off to meet with a senior beneficiary whom I have known for several years. He wanted to tell me his story. I was humbled by the trust he placed in me. His testimony is very compelling comprising terrifying poverty, abandonment, abuse and injury. It ends with a great beginning of a young man age 26 years, studying on line in German and is slated to go to study Hotel Management and accounting in Germany in the near future.
End of the day on Sunday means a program of drama and presentations. Here we see the High School down to grade 4 hanging out watching others dance sing, perform plays, recite poetry, and sometimes acrobats. It is a talent show that is filled with the hall laughing and enjoying a night out. The noise level is significant as you can imagine looking across the crowd gathered.
Senior students are in control, there is an evening programmer, and a student for the devotions. The school principal made an appearance tonight much to everyone's delight gave them 30 minutes more for television.
I had a great visit with the principal as I excited for my quarters for the night. A great ending to a meaningful and fun filled memorable day.
