My last day in Kenya this year, and I made it memorable by accepting Lizzie's kind invitation for lunch (pictured).
I like to take a massage before I fly and so booked a 90 minute session with wonderful masseuse called Cynthia at Two Rivers Mall. I travelled about by Uber, which is not expensive and safe.
Then I joined Lizzie for lunch at the Kenyan Prisons Senior Officer Mess and had a cococlastic time. Lizzie and I discovered, despite so many differences, we had so many values, faith interests, outdoor pastoral interests, etc. in common that the depth of our connection was a bit unnerving, in a very pleasant way.
I guess that every so often the fates bring together, serendipitously even, two people that have so much in common at personal levels it is uncanny. It is a rare thing to meet person who, for want of a better term, seems to be a soul mate. Lizzie and I found ourselves having such a rare and mystical friendship. A perfect way to spend this day, my day off in Kenya this year.
Tomorrow I fly home, but not before officiating the Holy Communion and Preaching the Word at Riara Ridge Presbyterian Church. That means a very early start so off to bed I go.
